It is a tree found in many parts of Turkey, but does not form a forest, and is found in gardens and fields. The outer wood is yellow and gray. The heartwood ranges from light milky brown to dark brown. It has a diffuse porous structure. The pores formed in the spring season are larger than the pores formed in the autumn. In walnut wood, the year rings are sharply and distinctly separated from each other, and there are very rich vein patterns. Walnut timber is a medium hard, densely fibrous and heavy wood. It bonds well with nails, screws and glue. It gives successful results in carving and turning operations as it is easily processed and easily split. He works hard and pulls a lot. It is resistant to physical effects. It is quite durable in dry environments. It is used as solid and coating.
