Chestnut tree is grayish yellow, dark or light brown in color. Although it is a hardwood type, it is lighter than other hardwoods. It is highly resistant to the damaging effects of air and especially water. It is amenable to painting, polishing processes. It can be easily processed, bonds well with nails and glue.
